Threadlift Facelift
Major advances in cosmetic surgery have been made in recent years. The high demand for it and the incredible growth the field has been enjoying is reflective of how times have changed. In the past, cosmetic surgery was mostly reserved for the rich and famous but now, more people than ever are enjoying the benefits of aesthetic procedures. In the past, facelifts were associated to a riskier cosmetic procedure that produced a "pulled back", look in some cases, but now less invasive, less risky, less downtime techniques, like the threadlift facelift are being offered.
The threadlift facelift is a newer nonsurgical alternative to a facelift that has patients in and out the door with improved appearances. Referred to as the lunchtime facelift, the procedure draws no blood and offers subtle and natural results. Using a needle, tiny threads used in plastic surgery are inserted under the tissues of the face with a thin needle. The teeth on one end grab and lift the sagging skin, and the teeth on the other end anchor the skin to the rest of the facial tissues without needing incisions, stitches or leaving any scars.
Threadlift facelifts are not for everybody, mainly used to lift the brows, cheeks, jowls and neck. The technique is quickly becoming the facelift of the times amongst younger, busy people that want subtle "preventative", procedures without having to take time to achieve it. Facelifts used to be associated to a major surgical procedure that required a long recovery period and surgical risks in order to look good, but now patients can enjoy an improved appearance within a matter of minutes.
Plastic surgery has come a far way in such a short period of time and has been the best way to correct and reposition skin into a more youthful appearance. Techniques like the threadlift facelift allow the underlying facial structure to be lifted, which creams and other topical methods are unable to do. Taking away the more grueling aspects of plastic surgery, or reducing them, has attracted even more people to it.
The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery reported a 293 percent increase in the total number of cosmetic procedures since 1997 to 2003. Non-surgical techniques, like threadlift facelift, had the most significant growth, with a 471 percent increase. The shift in cosmetic surgery patients are younger patients that want to prevent having to undergo major surgical procedures to reverse the signs of aging by undergoing minor procedures, such as the threadlift facelift, as they see fit.
Instead of obvious and major surgery at 50, patients can have minor, non-surgical procedures, or minimally invasive, to have a natural, more youthful result without the risks that accompany surgery. Threadlift facelift will not be suitable for all patients or deliver extreme results. A qualified and reputable plastic surgeon will first consult with any interested threadlift facelift candidates before deciding if the patient will benefit from the minor procedure safely. Patients should fully understand the risks and benefits of any procedure and have a realistic expectation of what cosmetic procedures can provide.
