A recent survey commissioned by Britain's Grazia magazine suggests more than half of mainland British women aged 25 to 45 plan to undergo cosmetic surgery. The report was based on interviews with 1,000 women across England, Scotland and Wales with an average age of 34.
As many as 11 percent of the women in the survey had already undergone cosmetic procedures, and of the women considering cosmetic enhancement, 64 percent believed it would give them more confidence, 42 percent wanted to look younger and 13 percent said they wanted to look more attractive to men.
Not everyone is an ideal candidate for cosmetic surgery, and a patient must be prepared to discuss his/her individual goals with a properly trained and skilled plastic surgeon before deciding if the procedure will be beneficial.
