A new study suggests Botox may be a promising new therapy for the chronic pain of “tennis elbow”.

Researchers in Hong Kong found that among 60 adults with persistent cases of tennis elbow, a single injection of botulinum toxin type A (Botox) relieved some patients’ pain for up to three months. Botox is best known for its cosmetic ability to smooth frown lines, but it has also been added to a growing list of condition treatments.

Numerous recent studies have also suggested Botox may help ease chronic pain, including migraines, lower back and neck pain and other conditions.
