Cosmetic Changes Thrive Through Recession

As U.S. citizens have lost their jobs and others feel more concerned about retaining their jobs through the recession, one would think that cosmetic procedures would be on the downside. Quite the contrary, though. A recent study conducted by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery demonstrated that appearance enhancing cosmetics are still commonly requested by new patients and returning patients among close to 600 ASDS member study participants, including:

• 63% found consistent numbers when compared to six months ago in scheduling for minimally invasive or non invasive cosmetic procedures such as Botox, Restylane and the like.
• 32% showed an increase of up to 30% in newly scheduled patients.

The Cosmetic Advantage
Cosmetic enhancing procedures can equate to a leading edge among contenders for new jobs. In fact, it is important for many to maintain an anti-aging image while on the job in the newly emerging competitive marketplace.
The beauty in today’s cosmetic treatments is that facial treatments such as chemical peels, injectibles, and thread lifts offer a less invasive and inexpensive way to achieve youthful results for the face. There are also added benefits, including:

• There is virtually little or no downtime associated with non-invasive or minimally invasive procedures so the employers of America cannot be disturbed by missed time from work.
• People can be ready for an interview on the same day that a non-invasive procedure is performed.
• The longevity of non-invasive and minimally invasive procedures allows for an initial minimal payment when compared to facial surgery. Maintenance treatments can remain at a reasonable cost and initial results last six months or more.

The Less Invasive, Less Expensive Cosmetic Options:
Botox     Microdermabrasion
Restylane    Chemical Peels
Sculptura    Laser Skin Resurfacing
Artefill     Non-Ablative Skin Treatments
Juvaderm    Thread Lift

The good news is that there are options available to maintain a youthful, positive image through difficult recession times. After all, what can be more appealing than the results of a cosmetic procedure offering a renewed enhanced appearance?
