Fifty five percent of women color their hair, but anyone who has or does color their hair can breathe a sigh of relief.  Despite concerning reports in the past, the Journal of the American Medical Association found that dyeing your hair does not increase your risk for most cancers.

After researchers in Spain analyzed nearly 80 studies throughout 38 years, they found people who dye their hair had no increased risk of bladder, breast or skin cancers.  The study did find a slightly higher risk for some blood, lymph and bone-marrow-related cancers, but lead researcher Bahi Takkouche said this finding might not hold up under closer investigation.
