Some things that contribute to risk factor in surgery that doctors should be aware of are:

  • Whether the patient drinks or smokes
  • Whether the patient exercises

Dr. Chase says they it’s very important to keep in contact with your doctor for weeks before surgery so they can ensure that your immune system isn’t down and that your overall health is good.
