There is a new option available for people seeking a younger and more refreshed eye appearance, but do not want to undergo the standard eyelift procedure.  Many board certified plastic surgeons are now offering what has been named the “easy eyelift”, a procedure that utilizes hyaluronic acid injections to fill the depression underneath the eye and alleviate the signs of gaunt eyes.

Twenty-eight year old Emily Ross decided to undergo the easy eyelift procedure to refresh her overall appearance.  “Basically, what I want is to look like I came back from a great vacation, well rested, de-stressed, reinvigorated,” Ross commented.

During the procedure, Dr. Mike Nayak applied a numbing agent to Ross’s ocular area and then injected the patient’s under eye area with the hyaluronic acid solution.  According to Ross, she did not feel a thing during the 20-minute procedure and was able to return to work one hour after the completion.

“Oh, I think it looks good. I can see where it’s filled in on both sides,” Ross said.  She added that the injections had resulted in exactly what she wanted, a rejuvenated look.

“You would think that we would’ve understood this long ago, you know.  ‘Hey, fill the valley, the mountain doesn’t look so tall,’” explained Dr. Nayak regarding the procedure.

There are possible side effects with the procedure however, and doctors advise that swelling and bruising should be expected.  Bumps may also form in the area of the injections and will need to be worked out.

Results from the easy eyelift procedure will typically be noticeable for about three months.  Treatment ranges in cost anywhere from $500 to $1,500.

The easy eyelift procedure is a non-invasive, non-surgical method to enhance the overall appearance of the eyes.  It varies from the traditional eyelift, which is conducted by making an incision in the eyelid to remove the fat pad.
