Originally referred to as corono-canthopexy or cantho-maximoplasty, Mag-5 is a unique and innovative form of cosmetic surgery that employs five operative procedures to take years off the appearance of an individual's face.

With an office in Panama City, Florida, Dr. Ceydeli, M.D., M.S. has extensive experience performing this procedure to help people make the appearance transformations they have always wanted.

The Mag-5 Consultation
It's essential that patients undergo a thorough assessment before the Mag-5 procedure is performed.

During an initial surgical consultation for a Mag-5, the experienced medical staff at the offices of Dr. Ceydeli will:

  • Collect a detailed medical history from the client to find out if any special precautions will need to be taken before, during or after the procedure.
  • Map out the "orbital region" to assess how much skin, fat and/or muscle (if any) will need to be moved or removed from the eyelids, forehead and upper cheek areas during the Mag-5.
  • Check for signs of upper eyelid dropping (ptosis), scars suggesting previous surgeries and the symmetry (or lack thereof) of the brow line to the lash line.

What Happens During a Mag-5 Procedures
To improve the appearance of the face, the Mag-5 (officially known as the MAGnificent-5) includes the following five steps:

  • A lateral emphasis frontal lift (which lifts and reduces wrinkles on the forehead)
  • A corregator resection (which re-situates the muscles in the forehead that cause wrinkling)
  • A lower blepharoplasty (which reshapes the lower eyelid to smooth out under-eye wrinkles)
  • An extended lawyerd canthopexy into the bone (which tightens an inner eye tendon to smooth and strengthen the outer corners of the eyes)
  • A mid-cheek lift

Benefits of Undergoing a Mag-5 Operation
Following a Mag-5 operation, it typically takes a few weeks to recover from post-operative bruising and inflammation. Within three months of the procedure, however, the results will be remarkably evident and stunning.

Visible benefits of undergoing a Mag-5 operation include (but aren't limited to):

  • A significant decrease in the wrinkles under and around the eyes and cheeks
  • Lifted, fuller, smoother looking cheeks
  • Reduced "hollowness" in the area between the edge of the eyes and the nasal passage
  • Slightly lifted corners of the mouth
