Most women know cellulite when they see it – those unsightly lumps, bumps, and dimples in the skin that plague the skinny and the not so skinny alike. The problem, however, is not how to spot cellulite but how to get rid of it.

From liposuction and Endermologie to body wraps and anti-cellulite jeans, women are willing to try anything to get rid of unwanted, unattractive dimples and lumps in the skin. Now, they can add Restylane to their lists.

Restylane is an FDA approved hyaluronic acid product used in the treatment of facial fine lines and wrinkles. “It can be injected very superficially as well as deep so you can get it at all levels of the skin,” says dermatologist Jeanette Graf.

Injected into depressed areas like wrinkles, Restylane plumps up wrinkles to create a smooth, more youthful appearance. Dr. Graf says that Restylane has the same smoothing effect on cellulite.

The results of Restylane injections typically last for approximately six months. Side effects are minimal, although bruising at the injection site is common and can last for as long as a week.

Plus, Restylane injections are fast and easy. “It's an office visit,” said Dr. Graf.
