Some of the finest practitioners of aesthetic plastic surgery in the country can be found in Illinois.  Northwestern University, the University of Chicago, Loyola and the University of Illinois all have medical schools in the Chicago area alone.  The University of Illinois has medical schools in four cities and the one in Chicago is somewhat oriented to urban, community based medicine.  However their residency program includes plastic surgery, both reconstructive and cosmetic.  That’s an indication of how cosmetic plastic surgery has become interwoven in our social fabric and a mainstream option in the American pursuit of happiness.
