Experience

Daniel Ronel M.D., F.A.A.P, F.A.C.S, is the only plastic surgeon in the United States to be certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Pediatrics. He was named one of America's Top Plastic Surgeons in 2007 by the Consumer's Research Council of America. Additionally, He has been selected by Allergan as one of 13 national experts to sit on the Breast Implant Research Team. He was also named Albuquerque's Plastic Surgeon of the Year in 2007 by readers of The Herald, and one of Albuquerque's Top Doctors in 2007 by Albuquerque, The Magazine.

Dr. Daniel Ronel graduated cum laude from Princeton University with his bachelors in Molecular Biology, and then attended the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he completed his doctorate in medicine and was elected to the national honor medical society, AOA. He finished his pediatric internship at Children's Hospital in Philadelphia and his pediatric residency at Children's Hospital in Boston. After completion of his first residency he went to Boston City Hospital where he was Chief Resident of Pediatrics. Dr. Ronel later interned at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in the surgical department and then continued his surgical training at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. Following his last residency, his plastic surgery training was at the New York Presbyterian Hospital program, which includes New York Hospital, Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and the Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Ronel has published many articles and has given several national presentations.

Dr. Ronel served in the United States Air Force as the 14th Medical Group's Chief of Pediatric Services and Chief of Medical Staff. He was honorably discharged, having received the Meritorious Service Medal.
