Dr. Yamini attended Stanford University where he received a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Psychology. He went on to earn his doctorate in medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin . Following graduation he completed an extensive six year residency program in general surgery at UCLA-Harbor where he learned from the leaders in the medical community in areas such as breast surgery, open-heart, thoracic, vascular, and oncology surgery. After UCLA he completed his plastic and reconstructive surgery training at Providence Hospital and Medical Centers and The Institute for Craniofacial and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery as well as an Advanced Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship under the supervision of well-known Beverly Hills plastic Surgeon Dr. Richard Ellenbogen.
