Education and Experience

Dr. Scott Chapin received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry in 1984 at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. He went on to Temple University Medical School, where he graduated in May 1988 with his Doctor of Medicine Degree. Dr. Chapin attended the University of Southern California/Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, where he finished his fellowship in Plastic Surgery Research in June 1991. He then went on to complete his residence in two specialties: General Surgery at Washington Hospital City Center in Washington D.C., where he also interned from July 1991 to June 1994, and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from July 1994 to June 1996.

After schooling, Dr. Chapin has received recognition for his work. He has been featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer, USA Today, Fox News, and the Dr. Phil show. Dr. Chapin has also received surgeon privileges at the Barix Clinic in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, which specializes in weight loss surgery and techniques.
