Experience

John Bruno, M.D. received his doctorate in medicine at Stritch School of Medicine, Loyola University, graduated cum laude. Prior to his completion of his doctorate he attended the Illinois Institute of Technology and Loyola University. Plastic Surgeon Dr. Bruno completed his general surgery training at the University of Miami and his Plastic Surgery Residency at St. Lois University. Following each of his residencies, he was selected to be a Chief Resident, a senior-level appointment, by his Program Director.

In addition to his extensive education, Dr. John Bruno was appointed Lieutenant Commander in the Medical Corps of the United States Naval Reserves. Cosmetic Surgeon John Bruno, M.D. is recognized among his peers for his knowledge and ability. He was President of the Florida Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and served as a diplomat for the American Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. 

Dr. Bruno currently is an active member in multiple professional medical societies such the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American College of Surgeons, Florida Medical Association, Florida Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and Lee County Medical Society.
