He obtained exceptional plastic surgery training from UCSD Medical Center, and furthered his training during an additional fellowship in advanced facial surgery and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Alfonso Camberos
Dr. Alfonso Camberos, a double-board certified plastic surgeon, has helped make Coastal Plastic Surgeons one of the most sought after plastic surgery facilities in California. He is known for meticulous and individualized care in cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body. Dr. Camberos has extensive training. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelors of Science in Microbiology from UCSD. He then obtained a medical degree from the University of Illinois, College of Medicine where he graduated with honors and furthered his education as a James Scholar Research Fellow.
Dr. Camberos strengthened his technical skill while completing a full five-year general surgery residency program at the Kaiser Metropolitan Medical Center and USC/Los Angeles County Hospital. Later, he completed a Plastic Surgery fellowship at the New York Presbyterian Hospital, the University Hospitals of Columbia andCornell.
