Guide to Washington Plastic Surgery

Seattle is the world class city that drives Washington’s economy and hosts many of its most innovative businesses.  Those businesses draw a disproportionate number of young people, and when they are combined with the University of Washington students Seattle becomes a youth oriented city full of people who enjoy athletics and stay fit doing it. 

The University of Washington is at the center of a regional health care system that includes clinics in neighborhoods and regions surrounding the city.  At the University’s Medical Center there is a Surgical Specialties Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.  Here the medical academicians teach and perform the more popular cosmetic procedures including breast augmentation, face lifts, liposuction and rhinoplasty.

Spokane has a comparatively small complement of practicing cosmetic plastic surgeons, but the full range of procedures and treatments can be found in most offices.  A couple of partnerships offer both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.  Many cosmetic plastic surgeons who do a lot of breast augmentation and reduction will also offer breast reconstruction following a mastectomy.   Depending on the nature of the mastectomy and the anatomical specifics, some techniques used in breast augmentation can also be applied to breast reconstruction.

Olympia Washington also has a substantial number of plastic surgeons in residence there, despite the relatively small population.  Olympia is a major cultural center for the region as well as the state capitol.  And there are a few clinics that claim to serve Seattle, Olympia and Tacoma – and for some procedures, these surgeons may be known as specialists and draw patients from the entire Southern Puget Sound area.
